Some photos of my installation are here in a previous post. I'm sure the set for the E39 sedan works fine, too. I also bought a set for my wife's 2001 Volvo S40 sedan, 2-piece for the rear doors and 2-piece for the back window and they work great. I expect there is too little demand for E39 Touring shades for them to even bother. From eye level up smoke/smoke for glare, heat and fade reduction. Silver Tint for eye level down for visibility in through the store window and fade protection. Dual Color Combination Shade The best over all protection for storefronts. I asked about having two-piece shades made for the doors, but the outfit that sells them doesn't make them. Shades can be made up to 12 feet wide by 12 feet tall. That works and also keeps them from blocking the door lock button, but if a rear passenger rolls down the window, the blind can fall out. I have bent my blinds slightly to keep them in place inside the window trim without the clips. if something keeps one of the door lock buttons from popping up, then none of them pop up and you have to get in through the tailgate. Under the right (wrong) conditions, the blinds can keep you from unlocking the car, i.e. Also, the blinds sit right on top of the door lock button if you install them flat using the clips. The instructions are to use the clips they send with them, but I found that the clips don't stay attached to the window trim strip using the double-sided sticky tape. The blinds for the rear doors of the touring are one-piece, not two-piece like for the sedan. The blinds for the tailgate (2 piece) and rear side windows work fine. $223 shipped to the US.I bought the set for my touring a year ago. I'd like some but can't justify the cost. Now that it's been a few years, how have your blinds held up.
